Historic Women on LI

Authors and artists, scientists and suffragists, entrepreneurs and civic activists, pioneering pilots, and innumerable other women have all left their mark on Long Island’s past. Even “ordinary” women have played an important role throughout history.
Join us March 8th, which is International Women’s Day, to learn about women in Long Island’s past in this Women’s History Month presentation.
Our speaker is Natalie Naylor, the author of Women in Long Island’s Past: A History of Eminent Ladies and Everyday Lives

Manhasset Bay Protection Committee Meeting

A representative from each member-municipality is appointed to serve on the Committee. the job of each representative is to represent the needs of its municipality, present ideas for the Committee activities, serve as an advisor to the Director of the committee, and, most importantly bring tools and information back to its municipality so that it can become an effective part of the effort to restore and protect Manhasset Bay and its watershed.

The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and the environment. Join us to hear what the EPA has planned for 2018 and Long Island. There will be a Q&A session.
