In January, the U.S. Dept of Interior announced plans to expand offshore oil and gas drilling, including in the Atlantic Ocean off Long Island. NYS Assembly leaders from the Environmental Conservation Committee, Committee on Toxic Substances and Hazardous Wastes, and Long Island Sound Task Force will be holding a public hearing to discuss the potential impacts of offshore drilling on NY’s environment, economy, and way of life.

Come out to the hearing to oppose offshore oil and gas drilling in the Atlantic and urge NYS leaders to continue fighting for renewable energy, not increasing our reliance on fossil fuels.
